Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible — Old and New Testaments — is the inspired, authoritative Word of God, fully sufficient to guide our lives, our relationships, and our pursuit of love.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power, glory, and grace.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ — His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension, and personal return. Salvation is found in Him alone, by grace through faith.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son.” — John 3:16

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, convicting, comforting, and empowering us to walk in holiness and to love one another well.

Every person — every shade, every story — is fashioned in the image of God and worthy of profound dignity, respect, and love. We celebrate the beauty and richness of Black identity as part of God's good creation.

We believe marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ's love for the Church. Dating, in our view, is intentional preparation for that covenant — pursued with prayer, purity, honesty, and honor.

We believe the Christian life is lived in community. Members of Modesty commit to kindness, humility, truth-telling, and Christ-centered respect for one another. Any unethical behavior, harassment, or abuse has no place among us.

We believe God is writing love stories still — across cities, across generations, across every season of waiting. We hold the line of hope on your behalf.
