Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Modesty, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Read this first

Singles-Only Community

Modesty is exclusively for single adults — never-married, divorced, or widowed — who are sincerely pursuing a Christ-honoring marriage. If you are currently married, separated-but-not-divorced, engaged, or in a committed romantic relationship, please do not create an account or use this service.

We have zero tolerance for anyone joining Modesty to cause harm — including infidelity-seeking, catfishing, deception about relationship status, or any attempt to lure members into ungodly entanglements. Violators will be permanently banned, their content removed, subscription forfeited, and — where applicable — reported to law enforcement or notified to the spouse or partner they attempted to deceive.

Members are encouraged to report suspected violators using the in-app report tools. Honesty about your relationship status is a condition of using Modesty.

Eligibility

Modesty is for single adults aged 18 or older who are sincerely seeking a Christ-centered relationship. By signing up, you confirm you meet these requirements and that you are not currently married or otherwise romantically committed to another person.

Faith-inspired community standards

Modesty is a faith-rooted service. Every member agrees to engage with kindness, honesty, and Christ-centered respect for one another. The full rules of conduct — what to share, what's prohibited, and how we enforce — live in our Community & Content Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.

Any unethical behavior, harassment, abuse, deception, predatory conduct, or content contrary to our statement of faith will not be tolerated. Violations result in immediate account termination without refund and may be reported to law enforcement when appropriate.

Account & profile rules

  • Provide accurate, truthful information.
  • Use only your own photos; no impersonation.
  • One account per person.
  • Keep your password confidential — you are responsible for activity on your account.

Prohibited conduct

The following are strictly prohibited. The Community & Content Guidelines contain the full list with examples.

  • Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Sexual exploitation, solicitation, or sharing of explicit content.
  • Scams, catfishing, or financial fraud.
  • Off-platform solicitation for commercial purposes.
  • Any illegal activity.

Payments, subscriptions & refunds

Modesty Premium is $24.99 USD every 30 days, billed in advance and renewing automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Premium settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep full access until then.

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first Premium purchase. Renewals are generally non-refundable. Full details — including how to request a refund — live in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

For any billing concern, contact support@modesty-dating.online first — we will work with you in good faith.

No-Chargeback Policy

Chargebacks will not be tolerated. If you have a billing concern, you must raise it with Modesty support before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer.

Filing a fraudulent or unjustified chargeback will result in:

  • Permanent termination of your Modesty account.
  • Forfeiture of any remaining subscription time.
  • Possible referral to collections and legal action to recover amounts owed plus dispute fees.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you post. You grant Modesty a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content solely for operating and improving the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our community standards, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time from settings.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Modesty is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee matches, marriages, or specific outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Modesty operates. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally with our support team.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
