About Modesty

So many of us have searched for love in spaces that asked us to dim our faith, our culture, or our standards. Modesty exists to hold the line — and to hold space — for the kind of love that begins with Christ at the center and is sustained by community, prayer, and honor.

We believe love is a covenant, not a transaction. We believe dating is intentional preparation for marriage, pursued with prayer and purity. And we believe God still writes love stories — across cities, across seasons, across every chapter of waiting.

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." — Proverbs 4:23

• Faith first. Christ is the foundation — of our matches, our conversations, and our community.
• Dignity always. Every person here bears the image of God. We treat one another accordingly.
• Intentional pursuit. We are not built for endless swiping. We are built for purposeful connection.
• Honest community. Truth-telling, kindness, and accountability are the air we breathe.

Modesty is for single Black Christian adults (18+) seeking marriage — across every shade, every denomination, every region. Whether you've been waiting for one year or one decade, you are welcome here.

We are a small team of believers building this with prayer and care. We will not always get everything right, but we will always listen, repent quickly when needed, and keep building something we would trust our own sisters and brothers to use.
